Why does Obama think it's acceptable to lecture Israel about their border lines?

Did not Obama make a speech once proudly spouting that no country should promote itself in status over another country? Why is he now doing the very same thing he said nobody should do? Do all of his previous comments have expiration dates? The PM of Israel is much tougher and experienced than Obama.
