Christians in politics saying humans didn't evolve and are special, how are we able to fuse human & animal dna?

I am a christian and I conceded we are all star dust, all of us. This does not alter my beliefs.For me what I find odd is squaring conservatism with Christianity.Jesus was the greatest socialist that ever lived.
